Can you provide screenshots, a link to a post on your site where you have this in mind, and the corresponding JSON file? I just want to make sure we’re on the same page.
Thanks.
Here’s a screen grab of one of our Apple news stories. The image is aligned with the text margins.

And here’s a screen grab of a story from the NYT. The image is full width while the text has a set margin.

It would be great if we could control the text and image margins independently or at least have a ‘full width’ option for images.
Cheers
Mark
I’d suggest adjusting the Layout Margin and Layout Gutter settings and see if those get you where you want. You can use the News Preview tool to test.
That doesn’t work. here’s a screen grab where the margin is set to 1 (can’t be zero) with a gutter of 20.

The text needs to be indented but not the images.
OK, looks like we will need to make some additions to styling options. I’ve logged an issue for this here for evaluation and inclusion in a future version:

There are filters available in the plugin to change the JSON output of any component and even the entire file, so you can definitely read up on Apple News format and make your own adjustments that way. That’s actually how many large publishers are using this plugin.
FYI, this still hasn’t found a place on our roadmap. Pull requests to the plugin are welcome if you’d like to see it fixed sooner.
This will be resolved in version 1.2.1 which is releasing very soon.
Version 1.2.1 has now been released. Please let us know if the new version solves for your use case.
