Full Date description

Hi there,
I wondering how to edit the date (Day, Month, Year) so that it shows up in all list calendars in the full format (i.e. Friday, July 11, 2014).

Also is there a way to have the times shortened when its on the hour (i.e. 9 am instead of 9:00 a.m.). Thank you for your help in advanced.
