I’m in the process of creating a page 404 template and I would like the background to be entirely an image. I have the image as a ‘cover block’, as I plan to have a button in the center.

Do you know why I can’t seem to get rid of the white padding on the top and bottom of the page? Thanks for the help!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hey @danachew,

Currently – there is default padding/margin added to the top and bottom of your site for all pages. You can absolutely change that though.

If you open the Site Editor (Appearance > Editor) you can click to open the template in the editor and then select the half-shaded circle icon at the top right-hand corner of the screen, above the block settings sidebar, to access the Styles panel.

If you go to the ‘Layout’ section – you’ll see the margin/padding added to the page as a whole – and can set that to be 0.

What you will find is that effects the whole site (all pages). So you may also need to edit your other templates to add some spacing at the top and bottom back in.

That worked perfectly. I just added a spacer to the header and footer and everything worked out, thanks!
