Full width CSS (across browser window)

    I am trying to customize the twentyten theme and cannot figure out how to have a full width bar across the entire window. I want to have a background color across not only the entire wrapper, but the entire visible area of the website–so similar to the bar with the logo and site title on http://www.problogger.net/ not the nav bar on http://www.dailyblogtips.com/

    Does someone know how to edit the CSS of this theme to allow that? Thanks in advance for your help!

    PS – I hope my description is clear enough.

    Don’t edit the Twenty Ten theme! Your changes will be over-written the next time you upgrade WordPress or the theme. For this reason, it is recommended that you consider creating a child theme for your customisations.
