    Hey Everyone,

I’m playing around with the full-width display option with this plugin. When enabled, my originally specified dimensions (e.g. 1280 x 400) are ignored and the slider displays at the full width of the screen (expected) and some new height (no longer 400px). I’m assuming there’s some sort of logic as to what height one should expect based on the original width the slider was specified in? Some sort of ratio, to keep the image in proportion? I’m terrible with math, so I’m just trying to get better idea as all that works.

How is the slider’s height determined, when the full width option is enabled for this plugin?

    Thanks in advance!

  • Hi there,

You’re correct, the image will be scaled up preserving the aspect ratio of the slider settings, in this case 16 : 5

You can use a calculator such as this to work out different dimensions with the same aspect ratio: http://andrew.hedges.name/experiments/aspect_ratio/

There are some themes, such as Vantage, that have a slightly customised version of Meta Slider which alter the height of the slider, so if you’re not seeing what you’d expect this may be the reason why.

    Many thanks,
    Dave
