FullCalendar Not Loading

I’m using fullcalendar via Events-Manager plugin. The FullCalendar displays on the Event page as expected however a spinning “wheel” is the only thing active in the display as though the calendar is having trouble finding events to load or something. It never gives up trying to load.

I have tried deactivating all except the Events-Manager and WP_FullCalendar plugins with no change. There are no errors in the error log and nothing odd jumps out in the access log.

Environment is:
WordPress version 5.2.1
PHP 7.1 fastCGI
Hosted on DreamHost – basic plan
Firefox Mozilla v67.0.2 (64-bit)
MacOS High Sierra v10.13.6 on MacBook Pro

FullCalendar Configuration:
* Full Calendar settings = default values with the following mods
* Post Types = “Events”
Events-Manager Configuration:
* WP_FullCalendar overrides the Event-Manager calendar
* “No” to Override calendar shortcode?
* Event title format is #_EVENTNAME.
* Events page ID in the CSS Optimization setting field “Load JS and CSS files on” (tried also leaving this blank)

Events-Manager Advanced Tools option to remove Orphaned events, indicate 0 orphaned events found.
