Fullscreen photo background
-
Hello,
I am trying to understand how can I make a fullscreen background on the home page using one photo. Could you please recommend anything?
Thanks!

Hi there,
try this CSS:
body.home { background-image: url('full_url_to_your_background_image/image.jpg'); background-size: cover; }Hi David,
Thank you for the answer.
Would you mind to please recommend where exactly does this have to be placed? I have no coding experience yet.
One of these methods should work:
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/adding-css/If I enter CSS in Simple CSS, should it be changed every time the plugin/WP/theme are updated?
Thanks!
Hi there,
CSS added using the Simple CSS plugin will always remain in place after theme or plugin updates. It will also remain in place if you temporarily switch themes.
Hi David,
I have tried including CSS on individual page and via plugin simple CSS of Tom. The background picture is still not covering the whole page.
Is there any other way to do it?
Thanks!
Can you link me to the site where i can see why the CSS is not working.
I prefer not to share the link here. Can I send it somewhere else?
You can use [email protected]

Hello Leo,
Sorry for such a late response. I got caught up with work.
I have sent an email with the link.
Thanks!
Hi there,
in your Container Block ( with the background image ) select the right had settings > Spacing and set an equal Top and Bottom padding value. This will vertically center its content.
Then delete the empty container block you have above your buttons.
The select the Button container see here:
https://docs.generateblocks.com/article/buttons-overview/#button-container
And select the center align option in the toolbar.
Hi David,
Do I need pro version for those functions to appear?
I am using the free one yet and cannot find them.
Thanks!
Oops… i think may have replied to the incorrect topic of yours. Sorry about that. I should have replied here:

However – in regards to the background image, are we talking about the same image behind the buttons ?
If so you will need to Edit the Page and use the Page Builder Container meta box and set this to Full Width.
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/page-builder-container/
You can then use the GenerateBlocks plugin > Container Block to create full width background images with container content.
It still does not work :(((
Do I need to have a pro version as I am yet using the free one.
The Page Builder Container option is available in GeneratePress Free.
You should see the option in the Side Bar or below the content in the post editor:https://docs.generatepress.com/article/page-builder-container/
