    If you want to avoid coding, you’ll need to accept whatever your theme provides. Choosing the right theme is the best way to minimize added coding. For custom meta data you’ll likely need to customize a template, unless you can find a plugin that somehow inserts custom meta data into post listings. Depending on your need, the added code might be limited to one line.

    If you want to alter how your theme styles the output, you can add custom CSS code to the Additional CSS panel of the customizer. Clearly, the better your theme coincides with your design, the less code you’ll need to add.
