functions.php Parse error

Hi,

I tried to alter the functions.php file to change the password text (outlined here

That took the site offline so I reuploaded the original file (even also downloaded the ‘factory version’ from the wordpress site) via ftp and it still comes with the error:

( ! ) Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘<‘ in /mnt/webdata1/webs/au.exeter.ac.uk/docs/eusac/wp-content/themes/skt-full-width/functions.php on line 294

… there isn’t even a ‘<‘ on that line
