• Hi,

i got some questions concerning the Playlist feature. First of all, i think the way to add external media is quite complicated. First you need to edit a post, insert media, add external media, save changes, leave the post editing, edit your playlist …. i really would love a simpler way to add and manage playlists of external media.

The other thing is, that during the upgrade from JW Player 5 to 6, all my external media links got corrupted and the playlists were broken. SO i had to add the 50+ videos on my personal page again, which was quite a lot of work. Is there some way to backup both links to external media and the playlists that use those?

    that would be really helpful.

    thanks,
    t.

    1) Good suggestion, I will pass it along to the developers.

    2) We don’t have back ups, I’m afraid, sorry that happened to you.

so where are the links to external media and the playlists stored? I would be happy to dump that mysql table to have a backup…?

    They are saved in JSON.

even better, that would make it possible to edit them with a text-editor i presume… before i start browsing my ftp server: would you mind telling me where the file is located?

Sorry I mean they are created dynamically, not actually saved on the server.
