Gallery caption conflict with "make" theme

There appears to be a Galley widget conflict with “Make” theme from
https://thethemefoundry.com/make/

Using the gallery widget in elementor, in Make theme , set to “show” , the image captions do not appear at all while they do work using TwentySixteen theme as a test. No plug-ins activated.
