gallery-carousel.php not displaying slideshow

    Hi there

    I’d like to use the thumbnail view to start with on a portfolio-page of illustratr (General settings: Template for Thumbnail Galleries: NextGEN: gallery-carousel.php) which works (besides the thumbnails not being centered) as expected. In the settings when inserting the gallery into a page, there is a radiobutton “Show slideshow link” which I’ve set on “Yes”, and the “Slideshow link text” to “slideshow”. no template for slideshow available (NextGEN Basic ImageBrowser: any – none works – suppose, this doesn’t matter anyway)
    Unfortunately, no link is shown.
    I’ve tried the same on WP with twentyfivteen, no other plugins activated, no customised styles.css – the same effect. Any ideas? Any help would be appreciated – to give the user the opportunity of a slideshow would be nice.

    @gelutz7 – The “carousel” template does not have a display slideshow link functionality within its code. If you want to add that into the template then you will need to create a custom template to add that functionality.

    I would suggest creating a copy of the carousel template, and then look at the “captions” template for references to display the slideshow link.
