Gallery – Sorting not working, Order of objects not correct.

    Hi,

    since the latest updates, the gallery ist not sorting by Drag-and-drop any more , and the order in the edit panel is exactly the opposite to the real one on the page. i saw there are more issues with the gallery. It works just invert sorting.

    Hi,

    Due to the recent update of WordPress 5.9, there have been some issues with the WordPress Media Library Gallery Creation, and how it is reordering items when using drag and drop. This issue is caused by how the WordPress Media Library Gallery is sorting functions and is not related to Elementor.

    According to WordPress, the issue will be fixed with the next WordPress version (5.9.1).

    If you are willing to continue working and avoiding this issue, I can suggest, as a workaround, to rollback to WordPress version 5.8.3.
