Gallery with Caption Template Broken (Code Showing)

    I am using the following to display a gallery with the caption template: [nggallery id=13 template=caption]

    It was working great until the plugin update. It now shows the gallery images scattered about the entire page with bits of HTML code being displayed and sometimes included in links. See screenshot.

    To try and fix this I updated the plugin to version 2.0.40, but that did not help.

    Can you please offer a solution?

    @wpjmg – We are aware of the continuing issue with the NextGEN Legacy “caption” template parsing HTML elements and are working on sorting this out. Thanks for bringing it to our attention for your site.

    @wpjmg, beyond the solution, have you tried meanwhile to choose the template caption.php in the dropdown options (ATP or general)?
    In other words, try using the new code in post editor using ATP function and selecting caption.php template.

    @tizz – I tried it, but that produced the same result as [nggallery id=13 template=caption]. Thanks for trying though!

    @wpjmg – Unfortunately we do not have an ETA at the moment but I will be starting to push this particular issue with our developers to try to get it into our next (beta) release.
