    Hello
In the Gantt Chart Module I can move the tasks and extend or shorten them and show dependencies. If I link two tasks and then extend the first task over the start time of the second task, a warning appears once. This is very helpful.

But how can I extend the first task and move all following dependent tasks and milestones backwards? The length and time intervals of these tasks or milestones should remain the same.

    Thanks for your answer.
    Kind regards

  • Hi @pascalfoehr,

    Thanks for writing here.

By default, this is not possible to extend the first task and move all following dependent tasks. Also, the milestone is not available in the Gantt chart, you will see only the project name, task list, and task.

I have kept this idea in our log file. Our product manager will review it and make a plan to implement it in the near future.

    Best regards.

    Hi @mdmamun-1
    Thanks for your reply.
May I elaborate on the idea a little more? In my opinion, the visibility of milestones is very important and should be implemented promptly, if possible.
Regarding the moving, I imagine that if I extend a task with a key combination (e.g. Shift), then all tasks and milestones are shifted. With another key combination (e.g. Ctrl) only the start time of the following task would be moved back, but no other tasks or milestones.
Alternatively, these two options could be implemented with a pop-up that appears with the warning.
Thank you for considering my suggestion and perhaps implementing it.
    Kind regards
