Garbled comments being posted

Hi, I keep getting comments posted on my blog like this:

I’m bored at work so I decided to chеcκ out your blοg o&X6e; &X6d;y іphone durin&X67; lunch break.
&X49; really like thе knowleԁge you provide here
and can’t wait &X74;o take a look when I get hοme.
I’&X6D; shocked at how quick your blog
loaded on my mobile .. I’&X6d; nоt
even using &X57;IFI, just 3G .. A&X6E;ywа&X79;s, wonderful &X62;log!

Any idea why this is scrambled? I haven’t approved any of them because I am guessing they are spam. Am I correct?

I do have the plugin installed “Spam Free WordPress”.
