    GDE errors on activating. prompt to reinstall, but still same error. i do not have any plugin or theme installed that is currently on the authors list of problematic plugins/themes

    The plugin should never have to be reinstalled, unless something really goes horribly wrong. If you experience activation errors, these can be overcome just by deactivating and reactivating the plugin from the plugin list. In some environments there are occasions where the install process has trouble creating the initial tables it requires on the first activation. Sorry about this.
