Hi, I’m already in contact with your gallery and translate plugin. This slider plugin also is connecting to external servers (cloudfare, google). According to the new General Data Protection Regulation of the European Union these outgoing connections are supposed to be illegal (without an agreement by the user).
Will you remove those connections from your plugin, so european citizens will be able to use your plugin legally?

    Thanks!

    Hello, @muxipups
Our developers are working on it. We’ll try to move what is possible inside our plugins and add agreements to outgoing connections which are necessary for plugin usage.

thanks! Would be good to move all inside, or to let the user choose in a way like if he wants to use nice fonts, then outgoing connections, if not, then no outgoing connections.
for me (and many others) it’s actually not sufficiant to add an agreement for me as a developer because the new law says that for all external connections within a website the visitors have to actively agree (opt-in) BEFORE the connection is made. Nobody knows exactly what will be with this law but actually many people are removing all stuff with external connections from their websites to feel secure (like embedded google maps, youtube etc).
so, if it’s possible for you to remove these connections that would be the safest way 🙂
