Hi @prcm777
I hope you are doing well today.
Smush does not collect any IPs. Here you will find more data on how the image compression process looks like: https://wpmudev.com/docs/wpmu-dev-plugins/smush/#how-are-images-optimized
Also, data we collect if “Allow usage tracking” is enabled in Smush
https://wpmudev.com/docs/privacy/our-plugins/#tracking-feature-usage-smush
Kind Regards,
Kris
To clarify – so as long as I do not use the Smush Pro CDN and as long as I do not allow usage tracking – then it is GDPR compliant and does not need to be listed – is that correct?
Thank you!
Hello @prcm777,
I hope things are going well for you.
Smush CDN is a Pro version functionality that requires a WPMUDEV Paid membership. Regarding GDPR compliance, Our CDN infrastructure provider and we support GDPR compliance.
Unfortunately we can’t give support or more information of Pro products via wp.org but if you want to know more how the CDN works in terms of GDPR feel free to contact us via https://wpmudev.com/contact/#i-have-a-different-question.

Hello,
I was out of town and my internet connection was not good.
To clarify, I’m only using the basic – no CDN
So if I’m only using the basic with no CDN and I have the tracking off – then is there any other tracking by this plugin of those who visit my website?
Thank you
Hello @prcm777

Ideally, yes it should not do any other tracking for the visitors in case you have usage tracking disabled and as you are not using Smush CDN like mentioned in our documentation here https://wpmudev.com/docs/privacy/our-plugins/#usage-tracking
Hope this helps.
Kind Regards,
Saurabh
