    – use maps with tiles from openstreetmap.com
    – load js from unpkg.com

    Questions:
    1. what personal data is being shared by loading images/js?

    Maybe I’m out-of-the-loop on this one, but to my knowledge these two companies have always been GDPR compliant.

    Well, as pointed out in that discussion, the IP address is considered private data and a tweet doesn’t seem to be something you can rely on.

    Regarding OSM, they basically say you have to figure it out yourself. “you are responsible for GDPR compliance in any processing you do of personal data”

    Maybe there could be a way to only load the map after the user specifically agrees, similar to embedded youtube videos? idk
