I have followed the instructions and MailChimp and created a updated form with GDPR fields.
I have issued a notice to all users to accept the GDPR and I have created a new “segment” so that I can issue emails only to the GDPR approved.
But I am not sure if I can use their GDPR updated forms here in your plugin?
Ideally I just want to embded by online form inside WordPress, like you can do with Facebook.

I’ve enabled the GDPR consent fields on Mailchimp, I’ve enabled the consent field on mailmunch, but they are not the same thing and when someone subscribe the form the GDPS fields on mailchimp are not flagged.
That’s a big issue that makes your plugin ok with the GDPR, but mailchimp will be out of law (because of no consent). Hope you can fix this as soon as possible, because I’d like to continue to use Mailmunch, but as for now is not possible to do that.

It turns out that the GDPR fields activated by Mailchimp at least for Spain do not comply with the legislation. So what a lawyer, whose blog I am following, has recommended is to add a compulsory checkbox to your subscription form in Mailchimp (e.g. with the message “I have read and accept the privacy policy) and configure your list so that you are notified of each individual subscription. Then create a page on your blog where you insert that form. Then edit the field name (in the HTML code) with the consent message. When people subscribe you will receive a notification mail from Mailchimp which says that people have accepted that checkbox. And this checkbox can be integrated with Mailmunch as far as I understand.
