General cache or cookie issues, i think.. ?
-
I have some weird general issues with cache on my front-end.
Using standard WordPress + WooCommerce + Bookings plugin.
After initial problem, I had to try plugins such as W3 Total Cache where i disabled all caching, but my cache problems remained.
Now I have the w3 plugin disabled since it didn’t help.A specific example. I have a normal page with the (Otter) “All Products” block , shown as gallery.
I added a product in admin, and it showed up correctly in the gallery after a browser reload.
Now, when I set the visibility to hidden on that product (or if I delete the product altogether) – it still shows upon a reload on frontend.
In the case its deleted, there is simply an 404 error showing after clicking it obviously…The weird thing is that all this behavior occurs in a private browsing window (chrome).
I can even completely close the browser, and open a new private (incognito) window, and after typing in my site it still shows the outdated gallery. Very strange.
If I use another, previously unused device, it obviously works as intended (hidden product not showing).Further more, there seems to be only some content that are being cached wrong: a product (name, image, price), a general image etc.
If I add content or functionality, that seem to update at once correctly. For example, the price per hour on a booking, or number of persons chosable for a booking – all this works fine instantly.
It’s mostly (or maybe only) stuff that has been removed or hidden that are still visible. If i make small changes to the site footer for example, all changes are updated correctly upon browser reload. Same with top menu nu. It seems the middle content area is the big problem in some way.
Any ideas? Am I missing something here?
