Hi, I have been using wpematico for my auto blog websites. However, I was wondering if it were possible to set a specific number of characters per feed fetch?

I would like to set a short excerpt of the content on the post page followed by something directing the visitor to the actual source of the post. Maybe 150 characters or so. Rather than having the plugin take the entire feed and post the whole article on the site.

I did not see anything for this within the settings or in the campaign.

    Thanks

    Hi @mjortiz116

    Thanks for your interest.

WPeMatico FREE does not include the feature you need.

You could try to edit your (Child-)Theme files to limit the characters of the content/excerpt and add a read more button.

Or you could take a look at the premium versions of WPeMatico on etruel store, where they include this feature and many more.

    Regards,
    Manuel

Is it the “pro” version that has the ability to limit the length of the posts? The reason I ask is that I don’t want the blogs that I am pulling content from to get mad at me for any reason. I would rather take a short bit of the article (instead of the full rss feed content) and then allow users to go over to the actual article page to continue reading.
