• I’m trying to create an access token via the Facebook Mobile API (as the Facebook Graph API no longer works), but after entering the Facebook e-mail address and password and clicking on ‘generate access token’ there’s only an empty white block shown.

I’ve also tried to manually add the user token/app token that Facebook generated for my app into the ‘paste copied access token here’ box and clicked ‘add account’, but that gives me the error ‘Invalid access token/User data not found’.

Is there anything else I need to change in Facebook settings to get this to work? Hope to hear from you soon.

    Using:
    WordPress 4.9.7
    AccessPress Facebook Auto Post 2.0.0

  • HI there,

    Thank You for writing in,

You do not have to do any external work to generate the token now If you have added the valid email id and password of your facebook account then it must generate the token for you. Could you please try again with your facebook email id and password.

    Thank you!!

    Hi amritshrestha,

I’ve been trying that, but it must have been my privacy/ad-blocking extensions that got in the way of the Facebook response showing up. I tried again with a ‘clean’ browser, which showed the response as expected. The website is now connected with Facebook (again), need some testing to see how the posts show up. Thanks for responding!
