Yes, WPSSO Core uses the ‘language_attributes’ filter to manage the html tag attributes. Unfortunately themes do not provide a standard filter for the head tag attributes. WPSSO Core checks theme header templates and will offer suggestions if header templates need to be modified to manage head tag attributes.

Hi there,
So we spoke to the theme developer & he wanted to know why you need to put this in the head element.
And he said, “If WPSSO has any reading on this action they’d like to share, I’d love to read it. I’m not able to find anything.”

P.S. my website coder says both of you are right & I’m stuck in the middle not understanding a thing just so you know LOL
Attributes in the html tag apply to the whole document, including the head and body sections, where-as attributes in the head tag only apply to the head section, not the body.
