• I installed the theme and generated a child theme from two independent plugins. Both times, the result was a broken child looking like this:

    https://prnt.sc/q9zmu9 (that’s the header)

Test was done on a clean WP 5.3 without any active plugins.

  • Hello @vloo,

You can create the child theme with the help of below listed article-

    https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-themes/how-to-create-a-wordpress-child-theme-video/

    Kind regards,

Thank you for taking the time to reply, @phpexpert21 . I wish you tried following these instructions yourself or at least asked whether I am sure all is working well with the child theme generators.

The child theme created for Modul-R does not work correctly, no matter if the child is generated from a plugin or is created by the steps, suggested in the outdated article in WPBeginner.

Please, if you are related to the development or support of Modul-R, check what’s wrong with the theme, as it looks great otherwise and child theme supporting is a rather expected behavior.

I’ve downloaded the child theme from github that seems to be by the same author, and it seems to be working fine. I’ll stick to that, as I couldn’t invest more time in investigation of the issue I had with manually or automatically created child themes.
