    Hi team,

The plugin is currently generating malformed CSS URLs, such as:

    /wp-content/plugins/feeds-for-youtube/css//wp-content/plugins/feeds-for-youtube/public/build/css/sb-youtube-common.css?x42234&ver=2.6.3

    /wp-content/plugins/feeds-for-youtube/css//wp-content/plugins/feeds-for-youtube/public/build/css/sb-youtube-free.css?x42234&ver=2.6.3

The site is also running Elementor.

We have also noticed that after upgrading to WordPress 6.9.4, the plugin is having issues within Elementor. The feed selector is no longer displayed, so at present the feed can only be embedded via shortcode.

I reviewed the existing support thread and also asked whether the fix has been applied to the latest plugin version:
    https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/malformed-css-urls/

Can you please confirm whether this issue has been resolved in the latest release, or if there is a recommended fix or patch we should apply?

    Thank you.

    Hi @kloudstack,

Thanks for reaching out! A fix for this is not yet included in the latest published version of the plugin, but we are working on publishing an update with a fix for this issue. In the meantime, we have a copy of the plugin with the fix included that you can manually install here: https://a.supportally.com/f/XS6cRx.

To install this without affecting your current settings and feeds, please follow these steps:

    1. Download the version of the plugin linked above.
    2. Upload it via your WordPress Plugins page by clicking on Add New > Upload Plugin
    3. Click Install
    4. Click Replace current with uploaded

I hope this helps! If this does not resolve the issue, or if you need any other assistance, please let us know.

    Thanks!
    Louis

    Hi @smashballoonlouis

Thanks for the feedback, question is the link is it just a rollback to 2.6.2 from 2.6.2

    Thanks
    Paul

    Hi @kloudstack,

This is a custom version of the plugin that was based on version 2.6.2, but it is not the same as rolling back to that version. Please note, when you install this version, WordPress will report an available update to the plugin to the latest version, but please do not update until we release the next version after this with the fix included.

I hope this helps, and please let us know if you have any other questions.

    Thanks,
    Louis

    Hi @smashballoonlouis

Just to confirm, based on the fix for version 2.6.2, does this also apply to version 2.6.3? If a customer is already on 2.6.3, should they use this fix file as well?

Also, will the custom 2.6.3 fix resolve the Elementor issue?

When testing this on our custom staging environment, the YouTube Feed Elementor widget did not update correctly. The content tab would not display, and the feed settings dropdown was missing. As a result, the user would need to use the shortcode instead.

    Hi @kloudstack,

Thanks for the update and sorry to hear about the issues on the staging site. We’ve tested this with installing the modified 2.6.2 version even after a later version was installed and not seen those issues. Could you submit a support ticket on our website here so we can investigate this further for you? If so, please reference our conversation here.

We are also working on releasing a normal published update to the plugin with the fix included as soon as possible.

    Thanks!
    Louis
