It is exactly as the github topic I shared. Just create a variable product. And go directly to variation via attribute parameters in the URL. You will first see the generic image after which the variation image is loaded.

    Hi @boosterbast,

I see that you shared a GitHub link, but that post was closed back in 2015, which was quite a long time ago.

To better understand the issue you’re facing, please share a link to your site and explain how we can reproduce it. This will help provide more details. Alternatively, you can record your screen using Loom for better clarity.

Simply take a direct link to a variable product: use the parent product url and put the query parameters for the variable product in the link. Load the page. And there you see the parent image being loaded first.

It doesnt matter if the post is from 2015. It is exactly describes the issue.

    Hello bostrb,

    Thank you for your reply.

I tried to reproduce the problem on my test site.
As a result, when I open a product with attributes in the URL, it opens up with the Product Image on the parent product and then the image changes to the specific variation image. Here is a screen recording of my test site.

Could you also share a screen recording of your site? It would be helpful to see how your site behaves.
Additionally, tell me which theme is currently active on your site. This behaviour may also be affected by the active theme.

Looking forward to your response. 🙂
