Hi –

using Genesis Theme Framework

1) Featured Image does not display in Category Archives page although in Theme Settings > Content Archives > Featured Image is checked yes

2) with Featured Image in Content enabled it shows image at top of content – but also displays the image in Text Widgets in sidebar and footer widget areas

not sure if this is going to be an easy fix or not…

Hi, @wasanajones.

About the second problem, you can deactivate it. You don’t need that. Just read the description and you will understand.

About the first problem, you are not the only person having problems with Genesis Framework. So I intend to make an integration with that soon. It’s because the themes created with the framework aren’t flexible enough to work with external images but I will try to find out a manner to go over it.

Please try to install the new version 1.5.1.

It should be compatible with a lot of themes generated by Genesis Framework.

Please report any issue.

Thanks for updating the plugin, however something still needs a little work…

using a genesis theme, I added an external image – and it displays in category archive page – but doesn’t honoring genesis > theme settings > featured image thumbnail size – it showed original size instead of 150×150

Hi, @wasanajones.

When you set 150×150, you are saying “Hey, Genesis. Bring me the thumbnail of size 150×150”. But once you are using an external image there are no thumbnails, just one image. Got it?

But I think if the theme’s responsiveness is good, the image should be resized automatically by CSS. So it wouldn’t be a problem.
