Geo detection required

    With Geo my WP, is it possible to have the site automatically detect which geo/location a visitor is in?

    We want to point visitors to their nearest distributor.
    So, we need to be able to detect at least to the level of which country the visitor is in.
    And then be able to automatically display a list of our dealers in that country.
    This might be a different Plugin.

    Hi,

    I apologize for the delayed reply.

    GEO my WP has the “Auto Locator” checkbox in the dashboard -> GEO My WP -> Settings page “general settings” box. When this checkbox is checked, GEO my WP will try to detect the visitor’s current location when he/she first arrives at the site. If a location was detected it will be saved via cookies.

    Then you can create a proximity search form using GEO my WP’s forms builder and set the “Page Load Results” tab to automatically display results nearby the current location of the visitor.
