Hi @lordvader,
With every new release of Wordfence, the GeoIP database is automatically updated.
However, if you would like to manually update it, you can do so by following these steps:
1. Unzip GeoLite2-Country.mmdb from this link
https://geolite.maxmind.com/download/geoip/database/GeoLite2-Country.tar.gz
2. Replace the file located at /wp-content/plugins/wordfence/lib/GeoLite2-Country.mmdb
3. Remove the folder /wp-content/wflogs/

Hello Dave,
Thanks for your advice.
Do I have to place the GeoLite2-City.mmdb also there? Because now it’s not.
I took a look at the dflogs folder and noticed that there were several files
contained information or mentioned something like:
“This file is used by the Wordfence Web Application Firewall”.
I’m just being careful before going to delete stuff.
F.y.i. I use another plugin that also uses Geoip. Seems a good idea to put the database in a shared folder.
Thanks again.
Regards,
LV
Hi again,
Can you try these steps?
1. Copy the downloaded GeoLite2-City.mmdb into wp-content/plugins/wordfence/lib/
2. Delete the wp-content/wflogs folder
3. Go into Wordfence -> All Options
The wflogs folder should automatically regenerate, and the new GeoLite2-City.mmdb should be in-use.
Dave
I noticed that there’s only GeoLite2-Country.mmdb in wp-content/plugins/wordfence/lib/.
If we add GeoLite2-City.mmdb would Wordfence also update it upon plugin update or just ignore/delete it because Wordfence only uses Country database?
