German Translation Issues

The german ranslations are somewhat fuzzy, for example nobody in germany has the slightest idea what an “RSVP” is, but the plugin displays it on quite many places.
I am aware the the translations are managed via the wordpress translation projct (or whatever this is called), but this is not of any help here.
how can i change the strings to something reasonable and how can i change the wording of the reservation button?
