    Hello,

on my clients Site I am using both free versions of The Events Calendar and the Event Tickets plugins. They use the tickets feature for some events, such as the one linked.

On Desktops, the “Get Tickets” (or in the german translation: Teilnehmen) button works perfectly fine, but on mobile devices (no matter if Android or IOS), the button does not respond.

So far I have tried to:

    • disable, deinstall, reinstall and reenable all “The Events Calendar” plugins
    • disable and enable all of my own CSS
    • make a completely new Event and try the button
    • delete caches after each step
    • make all the recommended adjustments in WP-Optimize (https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/k/wp-optimize/)

I am using the Theme Divi by the way, and all plugins and the Core are up to date.

The Contact form that shows up on mobile is a temporary fix, so that people can at least sign up somehow on mobile.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi @accudoramona

Thanks for reaching out. Let me help you with this one.

Upon checking, it seems there’s an error when the button is clicked. Also, the error is from the generated cached file.

    See- https://share.getcloudapp.com/jkuRoPY5

Could you try activating only our plugins and a basic theme (e.g. 2020 theme) and see if that makes a difference? If that helps, please try re-activating the plugin/theme one at a time and check which one is causing the issue. [see – Testing for conflicts]

As always, please test this on your staging site.

Moreover, please also double-check if you excluded the plugin folders from this article.

Let me know how it goes.

    Hi @d0153,

Thanks for your fast reply to my issue.

I have tried the things you suggested and, as I suspected beforehand (and after looking at the error messages you provided), the WP Optimize Caching Plugin seems to be the problem child.

When I completely deactivated it on the staging site, no issues occurred (I checked with the console). Interestingly enough, the error seemingly disappeared upon deactivating and reactivating the plugin, but only because Firefox (for some reason) ignored the error completely and the button worked. In Google Chrome, however, it doesn’t work at all and still shows the error.

As for the link you provided with the settings for WP-Optimize: Unfortunately, the settings did not help the issue. I already found that article before posting my issue here (and also double-checked), and even experimented with deleting the lines for plugins I do not have installed, but the issue still persists.

My last resort would be to uninstall WP-Optimize completely and switch to a different caching plugin from the list of compatible plugins. Do you have any suggestions which one of those works best in your opinion?

    Hi @d0153 ,

Glad to learn you were able to find the conflicting plugin. We don’t really have a preference when it comes to third party plugins but I would strongly recommend testing plugins in a staging environment first.
