Get video background from post (with Revolution Slider)

    Hello,

    I am working on a website that has a full screen slider as the front page. I created a post-based slider with Revolution Slider. In the articles that are rotating, I am using a video background (YouTube iframe embedded clip) as the hero banner.

    To achieve that, I’ve modified the plugin “VideographyWP” to set the video as the ‘featured image’.

    At the moment, the frontpage displays an image from that clip (the thumbnail) not the clip itself.

    If anyone has any idea how to go about retrieving the video from the post and have it as a video background for the Rev. Sli. sliders, I’d very much appreciate it.

    Since that is a commercial plugin, we ask that you please go to their official support channel, so you can get support from the people who know it best: https://www.sliderrevolution.com/help-center/

    Forum volunteers are not given access to commercial products, so they would not know how it operates. Other community members who may have faced your issue might be able to help you but your best bet is your product’s developer. Keep in mind we encourage you to use the official support venues, as it allows the developers to be aware of issues with their code and gives back to the community in a more robust way.

    Hi James,

    Thanks for the reply. I don’t think that they’ll actually help out since I haven’t purchased their plugin, but rather came bundled with a theme I bought and because it’s not a issue per se with the plugin but rather a customization.

    I thought, since it’s a customization, that this forum would be the best place to ask. If I was in the wrong, I do apologize.
