get_wp_user_avatar_src not working

This plugin is once again causing issues all of a sudden. All author images on our site are reduced to the tiny thumbnail version.

The developers randomly make changes in core functions with no regard for the end-users and release them with zero documentation on the changes made.

What is happening? Please help. The production site is affected due to this.
