    Dear Bnfw,

I’m reaching out to follow up on the issue reported in the forum topic: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/password_url-doesnt-work-inside-link/. It appears to detail a bug where the colon is omitted after ‘http:’ or ‘https:’ in links generated by the [password_url] shortcode. I am experiencing this same issue.

Additionally, I would like to extend my compliments on your plugin. It is incredibly useful and user-friendly.

    Best regards,

    Peter

    Hi @fustosp,
Thanks for your message and for the kind words.

I haven’t had a report of this issue for a long time!
In my experience in trying to isolate this issue, and that it doesn’t appear to be wide-spread amonst the BNFW userbase, I think this must be caused by either another plugin, theme, hosting, or email set-up that I’m not able to reproduce. My only advice would be to test each of these to see if you can find the cause.

Sorry I can’t be of much help but let me know how you get on.

    Dear bnfw,

I think the problem is related to plugin WPS Hide Login. What it does, it changes the login page from /wp-admin to something custom. So I guess what happens is that the [password_url] shortcode only misses out the : if the standard login page is changed by this plugin.

    Best regards,

    Peter

Suddenly it started to work. Interestingly I haven’t modified anything on the plugin’s settings. Must be something I have done on a third plugin. Thanks a lot for the reply.

    Best regards,

    Peter
