I just installed and activated Custom Permalinks Version 1.2.4. I am trying to edit specific Ugly [Plain] Permalinks. I created a test page and edited the Ugly Permalink by replacing the page ID with %postname%. But when clicking “view page,” it returns a 404 error. I have the latest Jetpack Version 5.4 [I see there were some conflicts that were reportedly amended by Jetpack].

Any thoughts about why I might be getting a 404 error?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @2green

You can’t replace the ID with the Structure Tag on the Edit Permalink field. These structure tags are used on the Permalinks settings page.

If you need to update the Permalink of any of the page then use words not the structure tags.

    Have you got my point?

    Regards,
    Sami
