Hi, when I attempt to set the plugin up (with the “configuration” settings page) which appears to open within the “customize” theme frame, it shows a 404 error on our site at that point. When I click to customize our theme from the appearance menu, the customize section shows no 404 error & I can change the theme settings with no problems. Any idea what might be causing this? I would love to try the plugin for this site, but cant get it to open. Thanks.

    Hey @eagsupply ,

Thanks for contacting us about Extra Product Sorting Options! I am happy to help out 🙂

Just to clarify, when you select Appearance > Customize you are able to access all the tabs, but the WooCommerce tab takes you to a 404 page?

It might be that a conflict is responsible for this issue, so I’d like to try to rule out a theme conflict first.

Would you please temporarily switch to a default theme, such as Twenty Nineteen, and let me know if the issue persists?

    Cheers,

Hi, I started a response over the holiday and then I couldn’t login again at WP.com for some reason.

No, I can only use the “customize.php” when it’s loading the “customize theme script” and not when it’s trying to configure the sort plugin. When loading the sort plugin, it shows a 404 error.
    Sorry to lag.

    Hey @eagsupply

Thanks for the update! Did the same issue happen when testing this with a default theme in place?

    Cheers,

Hi, just tested with a default WP theme and it still shows the 404 page, “Appearance>Customization” still works correctly. I disabled our main theme’s “core” plugin and still showing the 404. Thank you!

    Hi @eagsupply,

Julie here, stepping in for Steve. Thanks for coming back to us!

Would you please go to Settings > Permalinks and then re-save those settings and let me know if that does the trick?

Sometimes, 404 errors such as what you’ve described can be resolved by re-saving your permalink settings.

Would you please keep me posted here?

    Thanks!

    Julie 🙂

Ok, I resaved the permalinks and switched themes at the same time, still 404 for both our main theme and for the wp default theme we have. I’ll try it on a different woo/wo installation I have on a different server.

    Hey @eagsupply

Thank you for getting back on this. Sorry that the issue persists.

If you can test on a different installation and let us know the outcome, that would be great.

On your current site you could also try disabling all your plugins except for WooCommerce and Extra Product Sorting Options. If this fixes the issue, you can try re-enabling your plugins one by one to find out which one is causing the issue.

Can you please let me know if either of these solutions gives us any additional insight?

    Cheers,
    Steve
