getting "cheating uh?" error using theme customizer | ww.wp.xz.cn

Using multisite. Tried with various themes. All themes using the customizer trigger the error.

Any suggestions as to how to debug this without totally disabling all plugins, thereby destroying the functionality of a dozen sites?

Did you try googling the error? There are quite a few results on google. Maybe one of them will make sense to your instance and provide a fix.

Yes, there are countless posts about it because this generic error message (which is snarky and unhelpful) relates to too many issues. I wish they’d get rid of it and provide something useful instead. 🙁
