Hi there!
Could you post a link to your site so we can investigate and maybe come up with a suggestion for you?
Cheers 🙂

As long as you have Settings -> Discussion -> Allow People to Post Comments on New Articles checked
and on the post itself, you have Discussion -> Allow Comments checked then people will be able to comment on your blog posts.
However, we can’t actually get to an individual blog post so I guess that is the heart of the problem.
First thing to try is go to Settings -> Permalinks, scroll down to the bottom and click ‘save’. (You don’t need to change anything just save it).
If that doesn’t make a difference we’ll have to think of something else 🙂
I hope that helps!

aha!! So I was getting frustrated because I was like I am sure I have checked all this before! but your advice encouraged me to check my settings again. Under Permalinks, I had the link structure set to custom. But then I didn’t specify HOW I wanted it to be structured. I made the necessary changes and voila! the blog post has its own individual page. And from there, the ability comment follows.
Thanks for your help!!
🙂 Glad you got it sorted. Site looks great by the way and the art work is very impressive.
Good luck with your site!
thanks I appreciate that!

Hi there,
I’m having trouble seeing where people can comment on a post. The comments are not disabled. And if I click on the actual post, it just takes me back to the home page, not a dedicated blog post page.
I have a static homepage and another page titled “Blogs” where the posts go. They show up, but the behavior of the posts are kinda funky in this manner.
Thanks for your help!
