Please send screenshots for the plugin settings (UPS tab) and UPS shipping method settings. We will try to help.
Ok yes it seems to be a currency issue.
So here is my question
I want to sell in USD but my UPS account is in Canada. The API fails because of the currency mismatch. Any way around this?

Hi @berket13,
unfortunately the UPS API requires currency by account country.
We will think about adding currency conversions or integration with some currency switcher.
