Hi @msrgcweb
Your issue seems to be related to user permissions. Even though you’re logging in with an account that has full admin capabilities, the specific permissions for WooCommerce may have been modified.
To verify this, you can try creating a new user account with administrator capabilities and see if you can access the WooCommerce settings with that account. If you can, then it’s likely that the original account’s permissions are the issue.
If this doesn’t resolve the issue, it could be a problem with the WooCommerce plugin itself. Try reinstalling WooCommerce to ensure there are no corrupted or missing files. Don’t worry; reinstalling the plugin won’t erase your settings or data.
If none of the above solutions work, it could be a conflict with another plugin or the theme. You can troubleshoot this by deactivating all other plugins and switching to a default theme like Storefront. If the problem is resolved, reactivate each plugin one by one to identify the source of the conflict.
Additionally, can you head over to WooCommerce → Status → Tools, and do the following:
- WooCommerce transients – Clear
- Expired transients – Clear
- Clear template cache – Clear
- Capabilities – Reset Capabilities
- Clear customer sessions -Clear
- Product lookup tables – Regenerate
- Regenerate the product attributes lookup table – Regenerate
Next, please clear your browser cache and then try again.
If this makes no difference, please can you share a copy of your site’s System Status Report (Navigate to WooCommerce → Status. Select Get System Report and then Download for Support) so that we can have a better understanding of your site’s current environment.
Let us know how that goes. Looking forward to helping you.
Thank you for your help!
Once I created a new Admin account, I was able to access all of the WooCommerce options.
Just for future reference, what is the best way to reinstall WooCommerce without losing everything?
Thank you,
Mike
Hi @msrgcweb
Once I created a new Admin account, I was able to access all of the WooCommerce options.
I’m glad that the issue has been resolved here already! 🙂
Just for future reference, what is the best way to reinstall WooCommerce without losing everything?
Reinstalling WooCommerce via the Plugins menu or following the instructions on this support document will reinstall the WooCommerce plugin, while all your products, settings, and orders will remain intact as they are stored in your database.
Hope this helps!
