Getting error on plugin deletion attempt

    get error “Deletion failed: There has been a critical error on this website.Learn more about troubleshooting WordPress.” when attempting to delete plugin from wordpress on https//cpa-na.org

    plugin was updated, then deactivated prior to attempt

    While the automated or dashboard method to delete has failed; i was able to manually delete the plugin from the plugin folder via ftp. I am reporting here in case others have difficulty with a solution in removing the plugin.
