How do I get a wordpress blog residing on my server listed on the wordpress.com site? Maybe one day http://www.daddyfactory.com will make the top blog roll…

That’s for blogs hosted by wordpress.com, as I understand it.

In other words, you don’t. You could always try for technorati, though.

I’m confused. Today (11/23) this site is listed on the homepage at wordpress.com:

http://whitecoatunderground.com/2007/11/02/others-private-thoughts/

I’ve seen many others, seemingly with their own domains. Is it simply that the domain is hosted by wordpress.com on their servers?

Yep, domains are hosted by wordpress.COM.
