I’m experiencing this problem too. My pdf file is an ebook and a newer file. Purchasers can download the file with no problems when the plugin is deactivated however when activated the download link sends them to a blank screen.
I’ve tested it myself using coupons. Could you please help?

Of course I need to know what version WP, WooCommerce, and WaterWoo PDF (I assume the free version) you are using. What version is the PDF, exactly?
After that, it would help to see your site so I can test myself. A login would be most helpful.

It’s the latest version of WordPress and woo. Free version of waterwoo. PDF file version is 1.6 (could that be the reason for the problems?)

Yes, there you go: the free version only works to PDF 1.4. The premium version includes additional software necessary to parse newer PDFs, see: http://www.setasign.com/products/fpdi-pdf-parser/pricing/#p-78
