Getting parents & childs for posts

Dear Pär,

First of all, thank you for this awesome plugin, I really like it!

I have been using it with pages, but I have just realised that this might work with posts as well. As I am planning to display posts arranged by your plugin on the public side of my site as well, I am wondering whether there is a method for querying the parent or child posts of a certain post? Your plugin obviously knows that once I have set those hierarchical relations, as it can reproduce the page tree with posts as well, but how could I query this info, so as to display titles & excerpts of child posts for instance on a certain post?

Sorry if you have covered this topic somewhere, but I could not find it.
