Getting started with this plugin

    I’m just getting my site up and running, and would like to include amazon carousels on one or more pages. I have a carousel widget set up on amazon, but now that I’ve created it, I don’t know how to populate it into my page. Any suggestions (or tutorials you could point me to)? Thanks!

    Hi,

    First off:

    If you just want to add a predefined Amazon Carousel (focussed on one country), then the easiest option is to simply go to your Amazon account ‘My Widgets’ section, hit the ‘Get Code’ button and cut and paste the ‘code’ provided by Amazon into the post or pages of your WordPress site.

    However:

    If you want to create lots of different Carousel’s and localise them depending on your visitors location then using this plugin will help.

    You do not need to create the carousel on the Amazon site, you simply need a list of product ASIN codes to create the Carousel with the plugin.

    Basically you need to add a shortcode like the following to your page/post content:

    [amazon template=carousel&asin=0893817449,0500410607,050054199X,0500286426,0893818755,050054333X,0500543178,0945506562]

    Obviously changing the asin= part to use your products.
