ghost map marker

We are having some problems with our map (http://ow.ly/STpcG): a red map marker briefly renders somewhere over Western Europe, before the map zooms in over U.S., and when I subsequently zoom out, I no longer see a red marker over Western Europe. We have no listing in Europe so this shouldn’t happen.

Any ideas why this could be happening?
