I just checked your profile and it seems that you were able to add the GIF to your WordPress profile, so Mastodon is simply not supporting or ignoring it.

I am sorry, but there is nothing we can do on WordPress site then and you would have to report it on the Mastodon repo: https://github.com/mastodon/mastodon/issues
