    Hey,

I’m running the All Access version of AdvancedAds and really enjoy it. I’m thinking of incorporating the option to allow visitors to donate as a way to remove ads for them.

Right now there’s a visitor display condition for “If logged in” which is good enough. But I’ve seen there’s a Paid Memberships Pro integration so I thought one for Give (http://givewp.com) could be useful, especially to somehow check ‘subscription’ status with Give, and if a donator still holds an active subscription, to continue hiding ads for them.

Also, if I enable the “if logged in” visitor display condition, will this also hide it from admins and if so, is there anyway for me to continue seeing the ads to keep an eye out on their quality?

    Thank you.

    Matt

    Hi Matt,

    thanks for reaching out.

I am always open to adding compatibility between Advanced Ads and other plugins if there are enough users asking for it and the other plugin developers help us with the details, so that I don’t need to read all their code.

The “logged-in” condition is one way. If users with a donation have a specific capability then there is the “user can” condition as well.

The first would indeed hide the ads from admins as well. In that case, you could try using both conditions like this:

    user sees the ad if

    logged-in: not
    OR
    user can: manage_options

Does that make sense and helps?

Thanks Thomas, you’re always very prompt to respond.

I understand your criteria for new features and I’ll try your display conditions combination to solve the admin/logged in issue.

    Cheers
